Honoring the Ancestors: A Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Seminar

~ The Tribune ~ A Poem By Markus Thomason A quest of generations, a tale and song, of a people who survived on mere courage alone, trodden and bruised they chose to live on, trusting that one day their dreams would be born, Each one of your heartbeats is the echo of the ancestral drum, proof that their silence has overcome, Unable to speak at whim, unable to breathe, but at last your presence has put them at ease, For you are the one, they had been waiting for, the warrior in the garden who rebels the war, You dare to breathe, you dare to speak, betrothed by God to protect the weak, though long taken of wind and song, they stand behind you, pressing you on, You can't give up, your resilience immune, you are the dream born, the ancestral Tribune.

As a tribute to those who came before us and now stand behind us, we present the Tribune - a quest of generations, a tale and song of a people who survived on mere courage alone. This powerful poem by Markus Thomason serves as a reminder of our resilience and the importance of paying homage to our ancestors.

In this spirit, we invite you to join us for a seminar that brings awareness to the subject of diversity and its significance in our everyday business and personal lives. Stephanie Broadnax Broussard, a licensed clinical social worker supervisor (LCSW-S), certified advanced palliative and hospice social worker (APHSW-C) and certified advanced care planning facilitator and trainer, will facilitate this seminar and provide valuable insights on this crucial topic.
